Lawrence co-manages both the Small Cap Value and SMID Cap Value investment portfolios.  Lawrence also conducts equity research in the Consumer Discretionary, Consumer Staples and Technology sectors.  Prior to joining our team in 1994, Lawrence spent several years in laser research and development for industrial and medical applications.  He received a B.S. from the University of Rochester Institute of Optics in 1987 and earned his MBA in Finance and International Management in 1994, also from the University of Rochester.  In his free time, Lawrence is a passionate mountaineer, having completed major climbs in the Himalayas, Africa, Bolivia, Indonesia, Alaska and Kazakhstan.  Lawrence and his wife have four children.
